Just a snippet of what’s yet to come…

This is treasure island for all those you love your decorating your garden, patio, front yard, backyard and interiors!

AB and I were all ready for a day of kayaking at Moss Landing and I chanced upon this large hoarding with the word ‘Pottery’ on it right beside the kayaking place. Thankfully, I had my camera with me and I wanted to capture this treasure trove for my blog and spread the word in my little way. And yes of course, shop from there too. But that will come in a different post.

The owners of Potstop Little Baja, Bob and Polly, are extremely sweet. Over our chat I got to know more about the shop. Polly says, “Potstop started probably 50 years ago. They had a petting zoo here, monkeys, birds. It’s kind of a historical spot by now because people come and bring their children. One person brought his son every year to take pictures of him as he was growing and also showed how their story evolved.”

Bob and Polly decided to take over from the previous owners and make it better. The pottery and other interior and exterior decorating items come from Malaysia, Vietnam, China. The Talavera pottery is imported from Mexico. “We make fountains, we have art pieces, we basically do everything. Anything that will make you happy when you step outside your front door or you can put it inside too!” adds Polly.

The awesome owners! ~ Bob and Polly

The entire store is a myriad of colors. (If possible I would return with a truckload of things!) The statues, fountains, Buddha figures, bird garden decor, ceramic mushrooms, Talavera tiles and planters, plates and wall hangings were all a treat to see and capture! The owners are always around and take the utmost care to show customers around and help them with any questions that they may have.

From Buddha busts, ceramic animals, designed pottery and planters this shop has everything, literally!

Polly tells me, “Potstop started probably 50 years ago. They had a petting zoo here, monkeys, birds. It’s kind of a historical spot by now because people come and bring their children. Isn’t that sweet?
