We have never seen Fall colors outside of California and got an opportunity to go to Arkansas this month. We spent some lazy and happy three days in Arkansas where AB got to meet his childhood friend after many years.
I went about happily clicking the colors that nature painted in front of our eyes. Although it is Fall, and at the very end of their life, the leaves seemed vibrant and alive in the different hues of the season.
My friend (AB’s friend’s wife) is an excellent cook and she made this rather difficult (and complicated) Bengali sweet to welcome the both of us ~ ‘Lobongo Lotika’ ~ it’s a crispy, flaky, sugar-coated pastry with sweet cheese filling, is popularly a snack with evening tea.
It was a relaxing three days with lots of home cooked food and a very peaceful environment. The days were warmed with the sun with cold and, kind of, chilly evenings and nights. And we managed to see the Fall colors right at the end of the season. Hope you like seeing the pictures as much as I liked clicking the sights and scenes of Arkansas!
Until next time, have a good Thanksgiving break!
